Olympiad International School is a proud accredited Cambridge International School and Cambridge Primary School.
The Cambridge curriculum is highly flexible, allowing us to tailor it to suit our students’ learning styles, our cultural context, and our school’s unique ethos. Subjects can be taught in any combination and are often integrated with national curricula or delivered through bilingual programmes to enhance accessibility and relevance.
At Olympiad International School, we go a step further by incorporating best practices from a variety of international curricula. This holistic and adaptable approach ensures we meet the diverse needs of our learners.
In addition to Cambridge’s structured academic framework, clear learning objectives, and reliable assessment methods, we emphasise a student-centered, inquiry-based approach. This not only nurtures academic excellence and critical thinking but also fosters global awareness, personal development, and a lifelong love of learning.
Course Overview
Olympiad Grade 1
The curriculum in Grade 1 follows an International Baccalaureate-inspired framework designed to provide a holistic and inquiry-based education. Students will build upon their kindergarten foundations and develop essential skills in literacy, numeracy, scientific thinking, social awareness, creativity, and physical and emotional wellbeing. The course encourages active participation, critical thinking, and a global mindset through integrated learning across core and enrichment subjects.
Olympiad Grade 2
The Grade 2 curriculum continues to build upon the IB-inspired framework introduced in Grade 1. At this stage, students begin to explore more advanced concepts in core subjects while further developing their inquiry skills, creativity, and social-emotional intelligence. Students learn to express themselves clearly, tackle real-world problems with confidence, and deepen their understanding of their environment and community through interdisciplinary learning.
Olympiad Grade 3
The Grade 3 curriculum is designed to strengthen foundational knowledge while introducing students to more analytical and interdisciplinary learning. With an International Baccalaureate-inspired approach, students begin to make cross-subject connections, enhance their communication and research skills, and develop greater independence in their learning. Students are encouraged to ask deeper questions, collaborate with peers, and take initiative in exploring real-world applications of what they learn.
Olympiad Grade 4
The Grade 4 curriculum builds on the foundational years and draws inspiration from the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP). At this level, students begin applying knowledge through deeper inquiry, critical thinking, and practical application across subjects. Learners are encouraged to explore connections between disciplines such as science and geography or mathematics and ICT, while strengthening their ability to express ideas, question concepts, and engage meaningfully with the world around them.
Olympiad Grade 5
The Olympiad Grade 5 curriculum continues to reflect the values and structure of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP). At this level, students transition into more advanced thinking, taking greater ownership of their learning through inquiry, analysis, and cross-disciplinary projects. Emphasis is placed on critical reasoning, research, and global awareness, preparing students for the challenges of secondary education and lifelong learning.
